CorpusEye is a complex graphical user interface for linguistically annotated corpora. The system supports searches at all linguistic levels, both morphology, syntax and semantics, providing concordances and various statistics involving absolute or relative frequencies. Regular expressions can be used throughout and sequential searches allow the creation of sub-corpora on the fly. Search results can be compared across corpora or grouped in bar charts according to meta-data attributes such as author, year or title. Vector-based semantic similarities can be visualized using 2-dimensional scatter plots with user-defined axes.
This manual describes all important aspects of CorpusEye, progressing from basic to complex issues. Sections 9 and 10 provide use case scenarios for different topics and different levels of complexity, the former for teaching, the latter for research.
