NOWELE (North-Western European Language
Evolution) is devoted not only to the study of the history and prehistory of a
locally determined group of languages, but also to the study of purely theoretical
questions concerning historical language development.
NOWELE contains articles dealing with all
aspects of the (pre-)histories of - and with intra- and extralinguistic factors
contributing to change and variation within - Icelandic, Faroese, Norwegian,
Swedish Danish, Frisian, Dutch, German, English, Gothic and the early Runic
language.
NOWELE appears biannuallym each issue
containing approx. 144 pages. Subscription rates, two issues (1 year) is 300.00
DKK excluding postage and handling (as from vol. 40 the price is DKK 350.00). Single
issues: 187.50 DKK plus postage and handling (as from vol. 40: DKK 212.50).
